 when Kristie emailed me
and wondered if I would be interested in being a guest designer
I had to read the email twice
my answer.....
YES!
thanks to Kristie and all the wonderful designers
here is my card
it is a gatefold peek-a-boo card

started with a piece of card stock PTI Autumn Rose
5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8 fold to center to make a gatefold card
2 x 5 3/8 (two of these) one one each side PTI Kraft
1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (two of these) one for each side
Spellbinders scalloped circle PTI Dark Chocolate
Circle PTI Vintage cream PTI circle stamp PTI Tag-its #5
circle PTI Kraft celebrate stamp from Studio G
two buttons one tied with some embroidery floss
Pattern Paper My Mind's Eye Find and Dandy
some ribbon and a scalloped edge down with my fiskar border punch
cut circle in top center of  3 1/4 x 5 1/2 center this piece inside the card use score tape on the top
and bottom to hold in place
use the same size circle cut and stamp image to be revealed
glue in circle opening
I used a stamp Make a wish from stampin up
colored in with some copic markers
3 x 2 then fork the ends (two of these) they will look like fat banners they will hide your image
when you fold the card shut
place the banners to the side folds in the card lining them up to hide your center image
use score tape right side up so when you shut the card the banners will adhere to the sides
of the card

I Love Kimberly and her blog she is so talented it's an honor just to be considered.
So here is what I made this is an A2 Card 4.25x5.5 Dark Chocolate card stock from Papertrey Ink first mat is 4x5.25 Papertrey Ink Vintage cream next is Papertrey Ink ripe avocado 3.75x5. I embossed this with my cuttlebug Birds & Swirls I inked this layer with Jenni Bowlin Brown Sugar. I took piece of kraft card stock and ran it though my fiskar crimper, I tore the the size I wanted and inked the edges with some brown colorbox ink. The leaf is cut with Stretch your Imagination at 3 1/2 inches. I cut this with ripe avocado three times and glued them together to make a thicker leaf almost chipboard weight then I put some tombow glue lightly on both sides. I wrapped the leaf with Vintage Cherry bakers twine that I got from My Craft Spot  I took some brown cotton candlewick yarn and added this to look like veins. Next I tool some vintage black twine and put that in modge podge and wrapped it around a plastic knitting needle let it dry and then pulled it off to make the curls added a button from Papertrey Ink autumn mix and a little rustic jute button twine
Thanks Kimberly

Silent Night

week #44 Tags
The challenge we have this week is: Tags! You can interpret this in any way you like as long as there is a tag somewhere. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional.
  Any Christmas/Winter/Holiday card will do.
A2 card edges rounded
pattern paper from K&Company
Snowflakes cut from Joys of the Season
the Tag is from Planitin Schoolbook
I just foam tape to put it on the card but made it
less sticky by putting it on a scrap piece of card stock
first then removing it this way the tag is usable for who ever
receives the card and there is a snowflake from the pattern paper so the card
will still look good.
Silent night stamp is from Hero Arts

you make me smile

Challenge today is to use a heart on your project
Which was perfect for me
I found This pattern paper at TJ Maxx
DCWV Madly in Love stack for $5.97
card base is from Wild Card
then a circle and heart from George & Basic shapes
I use Back to school Emma love her little heart necklace
made a little twine bow with a button
stamp is from Hero Arts
the twine curl is something I saw this weekend at
Bee took a pencil covered it with wax paper
put glue on her twine twisted it
around the pencil and let it dry.
My craft room is in the basement and I was
all set and realize I forgot the wax paper upstairs
not want to go back up I looked around for what else I could use
I spotted my supply of plastic knitting needles
used that worked perfectly plus I have little and big sizes
to make different size curls

Hope everyone has a rewarding week
