Sherrie

These adorable little penguins and their
super "cool" glasses make me smile.
I love the papers and snowflakes so
frosty good. The way you angled the
penguin so that the hat hangs over
the edge of the card is a great
design makes them look like they
are dancing!

I will get your ribbon in the mail to you this
week!

Winner and Merry

w
I am on kind of a personal mission
this Christmas I am really
trying to use all the pieces I cut out
last year and didn't use. I always
pack up the leftover pieces from each
holiday and store them for the
next year
well can't remember what happened last year
but wow had a ton of stuff......
so this card I use
"merry" from
MFT Christmas greetings
this set isn't available any more on their site
but is available on ebay
the tree is from
Holly Jolly Die set
I lightly inked the background with some
TH broken china ink
added a little scrap piece
of paper, some Gold DMC
metallic thread
a few little stars
and one more Christmas card is done

Nana,

I have not made a shadowbox card but yours
is so beautiful I will have to try one very soon.
Lori Whitlock designs they are so
easy to put together.
Love the classic red, green and
white. The glossy accents really brings life
to the card and the sentiment is perfect!

Art,

These three little mice are simply adorable and the
blue watercolor background superb.
The candy canes look amazing I can
imagine how good they taste.
Think you nailed the "no red or green"
challenge. Great color choices.

Sending love at Christmas

My day to post at
if you are short on time or ideas
this is the place to go
CARDS, 3-D PROJECTS, HOME DECOR,
SCRAPBOOKING, MINI ALBUMS AND MORE
daily postings from the most amazing
designers you won't be disappointed if you
hop on over for a peek
only 21 days till Christmas
Three weeks will be mass producing this card
for family and Friends

Started with
"Very Merry"

This card is really pretty easy to make
but is really beautiful

first start with two
of the same images
I used
added some glossy accents and chunky glitter
Stampin Up Delightful Decorations stamp set & Ornament Punch
this is a retired set but you can
find it on Ebay
next I mounted them back to back
over a piece of gold DCM
Metallic thread
I found this at AC Moore
next to the embroidery floss

next cut a mat an adhere that to your card base
with repositional adhesive
this needs to be a side folding card
make sure this is centered
I did use a some painter's tape to hold the
die down make sure to press the tape on
your clothes first to take some of the tackiness
off the tape
run this through you die cutting machine
save the extra pieces I will show a card
I made with these in an upcoming post
carefully
remove the top mat from the card base
center the ornament in the window
align the top mat over the card base
the magic of the card is when you
open it the ornament spins back
and forth
On the inside of the card
I used TH tea die ink on a pierced rectangle
there a little space and the top
and at the bottom to
hand write a personal
message
to finish the card
 some diamond stickles
and McGill Pine Branch punch
a button and a bow

"May Peace be your gift at Christmas
and your blessing all year through! "

Die Cuttin' Diva's Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone
I am super excited today
My good friend
Georgiana from
from
asked me if I would
like to be a
Guest Diva today
for a Sketch Challenge
At
could not be happier!
I was able to pick any
sketch from the last year
I chose July
Now some of you made be scared
by this kind of challenge
you shouldn't be
It's really easy
if you break it down.
I used scraps from my
HUGE bin of Christmas scraps
the yellow strip
is 2" wide by 5 1/2 " long
sure you all have this size of paper
in your scrap bin
next are the rectangles
if you have any nesting dies
you can you use two sizes
Large for the pink Smaller for the White
and you are all set
Here is my card
Now I did place the smaller rectangle
in the center and the sketch is off
center but a sketch is really a way to
get you started in your design
I add the ornament from
Joys of the Season
this is one of my all time
favorite Christmas cuts
added some diamond stickles
and McGill Pine Branch punch
a button and a bow
will stamp the sentiment on
the inside when I decide who I
will be send this card to!
Hope you will join this weeks challenge!
Karen
